OrthoToday is not an emergency room. For a serious injury, such as heavy bleeding or a bone through the skin, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Who OrthoToday is for

OrthoToday is for new or sudden bone, joint, and muscle problems that need an orthopedic visit soon, but are not emergencies.

  • New injuries from sports, work, or everyday activity
  • Sprains and strains
  • Suspected broken bones (fractures)
  • Sudden joint, muscle, or tendon pain
  • Hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder injuries
  • Foot and ankle injuries
  • Problems with a cast or dressing

What happens at your visit

  1. Evaluation by orthopedic specialists

    You are seen by OrthoToday's orthopedic team, which includes sports medicine specialists and surgeons.

  2. Imaging and bracing as part of the visit

    The OrthoToday team includes radiology and bracing staff, so imaging and a brace or splint, when you need them, can be part of the same visit.

  3. A direct path to a subspecialist

    If you need more than a first visit, you can be referred within Luminis Orthopedic Institute to a specialist in the right Center of Excellence.
