About James York
Dr. James York has cared for orthopaedic patients in private practice since 1988, with a focus on reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee, total joint replacement, and cartilage transplantation. A graduate of Georgetown University and the Georgetown University School of Medicine, he completed orthopaedic residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and holds a clinical assistant professor appointment at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery with a subspecialty certificate in orthopaedic sports medicine. His leadership roles have included president of the Maryland Orthopaedic Association, and associate chair of surgery and president of the medical staff at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
